Prophets have been mentioned and discussed throughout the scriptures, and there are both true prophets sent by יהוה and false prophets. How can we distinguish between the two? We can determine the truthfulness of a prophet by their words: if what they say comes to pass and aligns with the teachings of יהוה in scripture, then they are from יהוה.

Each of us, as prophets and proclaimers of the Word of יהוה, should be well-versed in scripture so that everything we say and do aligns with the will of יהוה.
