Yahuah tells us to esteem Him in all that we think and do. But, how do we esteem Him? First we must get all the ‘junk’ (things that don’t esteem Him) out of our lives, whether it be in our actions or thoughts. We must remove all “the idolatrous ways” (Psalms 139: 24) from us.

Then we can begin to put new stuff in. Good stuff. Read the Word every day. And practice doing it, acting it out to the best of our ability.  You can memorize scripture, scripture tell us to bind the Torah on our heart always (Proverbs 6: 21). Memorizing scripture can help you fight spiritual battles, and can help you to share scripture with others.

In some versions of the scriptures the word esteem, is replayed with the word glory. I, personally, think that the word esteem means much more than glory, it’s fuller, and it is a more graspable word.

Esteeming Yahuah is not a light thing. While you are reading His Word you might think something like, “I’m going to esteem Him, and nothing is going to stand in my way.” It is much easier to say it rather than do it. We must altogether and heart fully choose to serve, esteem and praise Yahuah. We cannot be half esteeming Him and half esteeming ourselves. That is to say our goal should always be to esteem and love and praise and serve Him always and Him alone.

Constantly be looking for ‘junk’ in your life that could be removed, to esteem Yahuah more!

Shalom!
