In the section of scripture, when Joshua knows his time on the earth is coming to an end. He speaks to the children of Israel and challenges them to choose TODAY whom they will serve.

In Joshua chapter 23, Joshua gathers the Children of Israel and the elders and impresses on them to guard the ways of Yah. Do not forget Him, do not forget what He has done for you from Egypt, the wilderness, and now as they go into their inheritance and rest. Joshua encourages them to not become complacent, to always be on guarded to obey His commands, from now and until forever.

In Chapter 24, Joshua then calls all the tribes of Israel and the elders of Israel to Shekem to show them the stones that are now becoming another witness to them, to REMEMBER to Obey the Voice of Yah!

Joshua 24: 15-17, ""And if it seems evil in your eyes to serve יהוה, choose for yourselves this day whom you are going to serve, whether the mighty ones which your fathers served that were beyond the River or the mighty ones of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell. But I and my house, we serve יהוה." And the people answered and said, “Far be it from us to forsake יהוה, to serve other mighty ones, for יהוה our Elohim is He who has brought us and our fathers up out of the land of Mitsrayim, from the house of bondage, who did those great signs before our eyes, and has guarded us in all the way that we went and among all the people through whom we passed.""
